209 Identification of enforcement officers (1) An enforcement agency must issue an identity card to each person it appoints as an enforcement officer. (2) The identity card issued to a person must— (a) contain a photograph of the person; and (b) state the full name of the person; and (c) state that the person is an enforcement officer for the purposes of this Part. (3) An enforcement officer must produce his or her identity card for inspection at any time during the exercise of a power under this Part, if asked to do so. (4) In any proceedings under this Act, an identity card purporting to be issued to a person by an enforcement agency under this section is evidence of the appointment of that person as an enforcement officer.
