17 Benefits if the dependant returns to Australia early
During the period of effect of this Determination, the decision maker may approve benefits that the member would have been eligible for under the Defence Determination had that Determination applied to the member, if the member’s dependant returns to Australia before the end of the member’s period of appointment. When making a decision under subsection 1, the decision maker must take the following into consideration.
The welfare of the member’s dependant.
Any evidence to justify the benefit.
