24 Effect of forfeiture

Upon publication of a notice in the Gazette pursuant to sections 22(1) , 23(7) , or 27(2) in respect of any land –

(a) [Section 24 Amended by No. 17 of 1996, Applied:19 Mar 2002] the deposit and all instalments paid in respect of the land up to the date of the publication of the notice are absolutely forfeited; and

(b) the land is freed from the contract; and

(c) the land reverts to the Crown.
