#### 85 Proceedings for offences 85 Proceedings for offences > > (1) Except where otherwise expressly provided by this Act, proceedings for an offence against this Act are to be dealt with summarily before the Local Court. > > > (2) Despite any Act or law to the contrary (including, in particular, Division 2 of Part 4 of the [Crimes (Sentencing Procedure) Act 1999](/view/html/inforce/current/act-1999-092)), the court by which a person is sentenced to imprisonment under this Act may direct the sentence to be cumulative on any previous sentence which has been imposed on the person by the court or to which the person is otherwise subject.
