Part 3—Correctional institutions Division 1—Establishment of correctional institutions 18—Governor may proclaim premises to be a prison or police prison (1) The Governor may, by proclamation— (a) declare any premises to be a prison; or (b) declare any premises under the control of the Commissioner of Police to be a police prison, for the purposes of this Act. (2) The Governor may, by further proclamation, vary or revoke a proclamation under subsection (1). 19—Correctional institutions to be under the control of the Minister (1) All correctional institutions established under this Act are under the control of the Minister.
