Farm dams in Zone RU1
(1) Must be 1ML or less in capacity.
(2) Must contain a means of managing water overflow.
(3) Must be a minimum of 50m from any property boundary.
(4) Must not involve works within 40m of the banks of a named watercourse.
(5) Must not contain a spillway more than 1m in height.
(6) Must comply with the Water Management Act 2000.
