31 Controlled sports contestant registration—renewal (1) A registered controlled sports contestant may, before the contestant’s registration ends, apply to the registrar for renewal of the registration. (2) In deciding an application the registrar must consider— (a) whether the applicant has contravened this Act; and (b) anything else prescribed by regulation. (3) The registrar may, in writing, request an applicant to give the registrar stated information or documents that the registrar reasonably needs to decide the application.

Section 31 (4) The registrar need not decide an application unless the applicant complies with the request.
