sec.122 Protecting officials from liability

An official is not civilly liable for an act done, or omission made, honestly and without negligence under this Act. If subsection (1) prevents a civil liability attaching to an official, the liability attaches instead to the authority. In this section— official means— the Minister; or a director; or the general manager; or an authorised officer; or another person involved in the administration of this Act, other than a person who is a prescribed person under the Public Sector Act 2022 , section 267 .
