#### 174 Receivers and managers 174 Receivers and managers > A society is declared to be an applied Corporations legislation matter for the purposes of Part 3 of the [Corporations (Ancillary Provisions) Act 2001](/view/html/inforce/current/act-2001-032) in relation to Part 5.2 of the Corporations Act, subject to the following modifications to the provisions of Part 5.2— > > > (a) a reference to ASIC is to be read as a reference to the Registrar, > > > (b) such other modifications (within the meaning of Part 3 of the [Corporations (Ancillary Provisions) Act 2001](/view/html/inforce/current/act-2001-032)) as may be prescribed by the regulations. > > Note. > > See the note to section 17 (1). > > **s 174:** Subst 2001 No 34, Sch 4.11 \[16\].
