#### 109 Annual general meeting 109 Annual general meeting > > (1) The first annual general meeting of a society must be held within 18 months after it is registered under this Act. > > > (2) The second and every subsequent annual general meeting of a society must be held within 5 months after the close of its financial year, or within any further time allowed by the Registrar or prescribed. > > > (3) A society that fails to hold an annual general meeting as required by this section commits an offence. > > > > Maximum penalty (subsection (3)): 20 penalty units.
