#### 212 Warning to be given 212 Warning to be given > > (1) Before requiring a person to answer a question or provide information or a document under this Part or Schedule 2, an authorised officer must— > > > > > (a) identify himself or herself to the person as an authorised officer by producing the officer’s identity card; and > > > > > (b) warn the person that a failure to comply with the requirement or to answer the question, without reasonable excuse, would constitute an offence; and > > > > > (c) in the case of an individual, warn the person about the effect of section 211. > > > (2) Nothing in this section prevents an authorised officer from obtaining and using evidence given to the authorised officer voluntarily by any person. > > > (3) This section does not apply to a request made under section 197.
