Plain English Summary

2/10 complexity

This temporary approval let Airbus test‑fly the A380 prototype F‑WXXL at Australian airports for five weeks in late 2006, setting minimum runway widths to ensure safe operations. It generally required 60 m runways but permitted 45 m use at Brisbane, Sydney and Melbourne under strict conditions tied to other CASA and French authority approvals. It applied only to Airbus and that aircraft, enabling airport compatibility testing before commercial service.
