Plain English Summary

2/10 complexity

This instrument temporarily allowed Capiteq Limited (Airnorth) to operate its Embraer 170/100 jets (up to 78 seats) with a reduced cabin-crew ratio of one attendant per 50 passenger seats, instead of the usual requirement.

The permission applied to regular public transport and charter flights from 1 Oct 2009 to 31 Aug 2011 and required strict safety conditions: attendants positioned at front and rear exits for critical phases, demonstrable 90‑second full evacuation capability, and compliance with approved seating, briefing and operational procedures.
