Plain English Summary

2/10 complexity

This instrument lets Tiger Airways Australia operate Airbus A320‑200 and Boeing 737‑800 aircraft with fewer cabin crew than normally required, setting a minimum of one cabin attendant per 50 passenger seats (rounded up). It imposes a safety condition that the airline must obtain written CASA approval before changing emergency procedures or policies on able‑bodied passengers. The direction replaced CASA 60/16 and was time‑limited, expiring November 2018.
