306 Misleading documents (1) A person must not, for the purposes of this Act, give someone (the recipient) a document that contains information the person knows to be misleading in a material particular. (2) However, subsection (1) does not apply if the person, when giving the document: (a) draws the misleading aspect of the document to the recipient's attention; and (b) to the extent the person can reasonably do so – gives the recipient the information necessary to correct the document.
