24 Objects of Part The objects of this Part are: (a) to oblige members of the public to report cases of children at risk of harm or exploitation; and (b) to ensure the Minister, the CEO and authorised officers have the power to take appropriate actions to: (i) protect children who are in need of protection; and (ii) promote the wellbeing of children generally; and (iii) promote the wellbeing of young persons who have left the CEO's care. Note A child who is the subject of the exercise of a power under this Chapter may make a complaint to the Children's Commissioner about certain matters under the Children's Commissioner Act 2013.
