183B Providing information for national database (1) The CEO may share any information acquired by the CEO in exercising powers or performing functions under this Act in a database that enables States and the Territory to share information related to the safety and wellbeing of children if the CEO is satisfied that the information in the database will only be used for an interstate officer to exercise powers or perform functions under a child welfare law. child welfare law means a law of a State that substantially corresponds to the provisions in Part 2.3 that relate to a protection interstate officer, for a State, means the person holding or occupying the office or position that has the principal responsibility for the protection of children in the State under the child welfare law State means: (a) a State or another Territory of the Commonwealth; or Care and Protection of Children Act 2007 112 (b) New Zealand.
