48 Baseline conversion abatement
The baseline abatement for a project for a reporting period, in tonnes CO2‑e, is worked out using the following formula:
| start formula A subscript B equals M Com comma NCT times W subscript B end formula | Equation 17 |
| A subscript B | means the baseline conversion abatement for the project for the reporting period, in tonnes CO2‑e. | | M subscript Com comma NCT | means the methane combusted or taken to be combusted in respect of the project landfill during the reporting period that was not generated from carbon tax waste and, in the case of a safeguard LFG project, not generated from non-legacy waste, in tonnes CO2‑e, worked out using equation 6. | | W subscript B | means the proportion of the methane combusted or taken to be combusted during the reporting period that would have been combusted without the project, worked out using whichever of equation 18, 19 or 20 applies to the project. |
