39 Project conversion abatement
(1) The project conversion abatement in respect of the project landfill for a reporting period, in tonnes CO2‑e, is worked out using the following formula:

| A subscript P | means the project conversion abatement in respect of a project landfill for the reporting period, in tonnes CO2‑e. | | M subscript Com comma NCT | means the methane combusted or taken to be combusted in respect of the project landfill during the reporting period that was not generated from carbon tax waste, and, in the case of a safeguard LFG project, not generated from non-legacy waste, in tonnes CO2‑e, worked out using equation 6. | | M subscript Com comma Ox | means the methane combusted or taken to be combusted in respect of the project landfill during the reporting period that was not generated from carbon tax waste and, in the case of a safeguard LFG project, not generated from non-legacy waste, and that, without the project, would have been oxidised in near surface conditions of the project landfill, in tonnes CO2‑e, worked out using equation 15. |
(2) The project conversion abatement from emissions destruction activities relating to the project landfill during a reporting period, in tonnes CO2‑e, is worked out using the following formula:
