15  Project sub-types for non-biomethane and biomethane conversion and displacement projects

Note: Biomethane displacement only projects and restarting biomethane displacement only projects do not have project sub-types as the net abatement for these project types does not involve conversion abatement.

1.     Subject to this section, each project classified as a non-biomethane project or biomethane conversion and displacement project must, at all times, be a project sub-type mentioned in column 1 and a project sub-type mentioned in column 2 of the following table. A project that is a project sub-type is classified as that project sub-type, if the classification occurs in accordance with section 16.

1.     A non-biomethane project that is a restarting flaring only project (see column 2 of the table) is not required to be a project sub-type mentioned in column 1 of the table.
2.     A biomethane conversion and displacement project is not required to be a project sub-type mentioned in column 2 of the table.
