sec.13 Chief executive’s powers before deciding application

Before deciding the application, the chief executive may, by written notice given to the applicant, ask for any further information or document the chief executive reasonably requires to decide the application. The notice must state a reasonable period of at least 20 business days after it is given (the stated period ) within which the information or document must be given. The chief executive may require the information or document to be verified by a statutory declaration. The applicant is taken to have withdrawn the application if the applicant does not comply with the requirement within the stated period.
