66 Appointment and election of members of new Council (1) The new Council must be constituted in accordance with section 11. (2) For constituting the new Council, the Director must give notice under section 12 and make the requests under section 13 within 1 calendar month after the commencement day.

Part 9 Transitional matters for Batchelor Institute of Indigenous Tertiary Education Amendment Act 2012 Division 4 Board Batchelor Institute of Indigenous Tertiary Education Act 1999 45 (3) Subject to this Division, Part 3 applies in relation the following matters as if a reference in Part 3 to the Council were a reference to the new Council: (a) the nomination and appointment of a person as a member of the new Council; (b) the election and declaration of a person to be a member of the new Council; (c) the appointment of a person as a member of the new Council if there is a failure to nominate or elect a member.
