46Audit

46 Audit (1) The Director must, at the end of each financial year, prepare a financial statement in respect of the financial year. (2) The financial statement is to be: (a) in respect of the operations of the Institute or the particular functions and activities of the Institute that the Treasurer specifies in writing to the Institute; and (b) prepared in a form approved by the Treasurer; and (c) prepared: (i) within 3 months after the end of the financial year; or (ii) within any longer period approved by the Treasurer. (3) The Director must forward a copy of the financial statement to the Minister and the Auditor-General. (4) The Auditor-General must audit the financial statement and report on the statement to the Minister: (a) within 3 months after receiving the statement; or (b) within any longer period determined by the Administrator. (5) The Auditor-General must forward a copy of his or her report to the Director.
