#### 62 Protection of members etc. (1) A member has, in the performance or exercise of any of his or her functions and powers as a member in relation to a hearing, the same protection and immunity as a Justice of the High Court. (1A) A delegate of a member has, in the performance or exercise of any delegated function or power in relation to a hearing, the same protection and immunity as a Justice of the High Court. (2) A barrister, solicitor or other person appearing on a person’s behalf at a hearing has the same protection and immunity as a barrister has in appearing for a party in a proceeding in the High Court. (3) Subject to this Act, a person who is required by a summons under section 58 to appear at a hearing, or a witness at a hearing, has the same protection as a witness in a proceeding in the High Court.
