18Intervention by Attorney‑General

#### 18 Intervention by Attorney‑General (1) The Attorney‑General may, on behalf of the Commonwealth, intervene in a proceeding before the Federal Court or the Federal Circuit and Family Court of Australia (Division 2) under this Act. (2) Where the Attorney‑General intervenes in a proceeding in pursuance of this section, the court may, in the proceeding, make such order as to costs against the Commonwealth as the court thinks fit. (3) Where the Attorney‑General intervenes in a proceeding in pursuance of this section, he or she shall be deemed to be a party to the proceeding.
