This Amendment becomes effective on 15 April 2004.
Background: This directive was originally issued to address a report of a combustion break-out which resulted in an under cowl fire penetrating the engine pylon. The directive required a periodic inspection of the combustion liner head section and meterpanel assemblies.
This amendment is issued to reduce the inspection interval for RB211-524B engines and also introduces a terminating action.
