Plain English Summary

3/10 complexity

This directive mandates recurring removal, visual and magnetic inspection of blades and ferrules and re‑torquing of lag screws on specified Sensenich propellers (C‑2FM, CS‑2FM, C‑3FR4, CS‑3FR5, CS‑3FM4). Inspection intervals are engine‑dependent (100 hours for certain Lycoming/Franklin engines, 300 hours otherwise).

It affects owners/operators and maintenance providers, who bear inspection and repair costs and must have magnetic‑inspection capability. The measure aims to detect cracks early and reduce propeller‑failure risk, but increases recurring maintenance, downtime, and service costs.
