AD/P68/14 - Fuel Pump Cooling Shroud - Modification - CANCELLED

What this does: This document officially cancels a previous aircraft safety rule (Airworthiness Directive P68/14) that applied to Partenavia P68 series aeroplanes.

What it used to require: The original rule mandated a one-time modification of the fuel pump cooling shroud (a protective cover that helps prevent the fuel pump from overheating) in accordance with manufacturer guidelines (Partenavia Service Bulletin No. 38). Aircraft owners had to complete this work within 100 hours of flying time after January 1979.

What happens now: As of 28 August 2008, aircraft owners and operators are no longer legally required to perform this specific modification. The safety concern that prompted the original directive has been resolved or is no longer considered a significant risk, so the Civil Aviation Safety Authority has removed the obligation entirely.
