AD/L200/5 - Front (Pilot) Seats Restraint Installation - Modification - CANCELLED

This instrument cancels an old aviation safety rule about seatbelts in specific Czech-made aircraft.

What it does:

• Cancels Airworthiness Directive (AD) L200/5, originally issued in 1974
• That old directive required upper torso restraints (shoulder harnesses) to be installed in the front seats of Morava L200 series aeroplanes

Why it matters:

• The old rules are no longer needed because the same safety requirements are now covered by a general directive (AD/GENERAL/74) and will eventually be moved into the main aviation regulations (CASR Part 90)
• Aircraft owners and operators no longer need to comply with the specific 1974 directive, though they must still follow the replacement rules
• The cancellation took effect on 2 July 2009
