Plain English Summary

This AD mandates initial‑operations inspections of the main gearbox on certain Eurocopter SA341 Gazelle helicopters (specified gearbox P/Ns) if the gearbox has <25 hours TIS and is not modified to AMS 07.7077, by requiring compliance with Aerospatiale SB 341 05.10. It aims to detect early gearbox problems; costs and downtime fall to owners/operators, and the AD delegates technical detail to the referenced service bulletin.
