| This Amendment becomes effective on 6 December 2012. | |
| Background: | Two reports of the plain journal bearings moving out from within the sliding sleeve have been received. They were discovered during the pre-flight check. If the plain journal bearing completely shifts towards the inside or the outside of the sliding sleeve, there is the possibility of a limited movement of the collective controls, and possible loss of control of the helicopter may result. This AD is issued to address this potentially unsafe condition. This amendment is issued to correct a regulatory reference in Requirement 2.The original issue of this Airworthiness Directive became effective on 30 June 2005.Prior compliance with requirements of AD/EC 135/10 constitutes compliance with the same requirement of this amendment. |
