Background: Operators have reported six incidents where the ADG has not deployed upon operation of the manual release system. Inspection of the manual release system found that a broken shaft pin in the ADG uplock assembly had prevented the uplock mechanism from releasing the ADG when the manual system was operated.

Compliance with this Directive will detect and correct these problems in the ADG manual deployment system.
