Plain English Summary

2/10 complexity

This Airworthiness Directive requires operators of Cessna Model 650 (Citation III) aeroplanes in specified serial-number ranges to inspect side‑brace assemblies for correct part numbers and to replace any incorrect assemblies per Cessna Service Bulletin SB650-32-47; inspection is due within six months of 31 October 2002 and replacement before further flight. CASA says this follows manufacturer advice that some part numbers could unlock, risking undercarriage failure and a gear‑up landing; operators pay inspection and replacement costs and must follow the service bulletin.
