Plain English Summary

2/10 complexity

What this is This is an Airworthiness Directive (AD) — a mandatory safety rule issued by the Civil Aviation Safety Authority requiring owners of specific Cessna aircraft to conduct a structural inspection.

Who is affected Owners and operators of Cessna 441 model aircraft with serial numbers 441-0001 through 441-0139.

What you must do Inspect the cabin overhead bulkheads (the structural walls in the ceiling area) at two specific frame stations (FS 185.37 and FS 212.10). This inspection must be completed within 100 hours of flight time after 31 March 1981.

Why this matters During production or past maintenance, excessive material may have been removed from these bulkheads to install air conditioning ducts. This could compromise the aircraft's structural integrity and safety.

How to comply Follow the detailed inspection procedures in Cessna Customer Care Service Information Letter (SIL) No. PJ80-13.
