Plain English Summary

3/10 complexity

This rule requires owners/operators of Cessna 180 and 182 series and Wren 460 aircraft with plastic (not metal) control wheels to carry out recurring inspections per Cessna Service Letters—one every 100 flight hours and another every 500 hours. It’s aimed at catching degradation or cracking of plastic yokes to prevent in‑flight failure and loss of control on older aircraft.
