AD/BN-2/22 - Emergency Exits Placard - CANCELLED

What this is: This document officially cancels an old aviation safety rule (called an Airworthiness Directive) that applied to Pilatus Britten-Norman BN-2 aircraft.

The original rule: Since before 1973, owners of these aircraft were required to replace the emergency exit placard (sign) located next to the window exit handle. They had to complete this within 200 hours of flying time after 29 February 1972.

Why it is cancelled: That deadline passed over 36 years ago. All affected aircraft have already been modified, so the rule is now redundant.

What this means: As of 18 December 2008, this specific safety requirement no longer exists. Operators of these aircraft no longer need to track or comply with this particular directive, though they must still follow all other current safety regulations.
