Plain English Summary

1/10 complexity

What this does: This is a mandatory safety directive (called an Airworthiness Directive) that requires owners of specific Beechcraft aircraft to replace faulty bolts on the nose landing gear.

Who it affects: Owners and operators of Beechcraft Model 65-A80 aircraft with specific serial numbers: LD-34, LD-46, or any serial number from LD-151 to LD-231.

What must be done: The nose landing gear attachment bolts must be replaced following the instructions in Beechcraft Service Bulletin 65-15 (a technical manual from the manufacturer).

Deadline: The replacement must be completed within 100 hours of flight time after 13 October 1965.

Why it matters: This prevents the nose landing gear from failing during landing, which could cause a serious accident.
