Plain English Summary

2/10 complexity

What it does: This directive orders safety inspections for Beechcraft 60 (Duke) aircraft to check that the front and second-row seats have physical stops at the forward ends of their rear attachment rails. If these stops are missing, owners must install specific stop assemblies (part number 414-180657-3 or an approved equivalent) to prevent seats from sliding forward unexpectedly.

Who it affects: Owners and operators of all Beechcraft 60 (Duke) series aeroplanes.

Why it matters: This prevents seats from shifting forward during turbulence, hard braking, or accidents, which could injure passengers or interfere with pilot controls.
