Plain English Summary

1/10 complexity

What this does: This is an aviation safety order (called an Airworthiness Directive) requiring owners of specific Beechcraft Duke aircraft to inspect or repair the control rods that operate the wing flaps (ailerons).

Who it affects: Owners and operators of Beechcraft Model 60 aircraft with serial numbers P-1 through P-70.

What must be done: Follow the instructions in Beechcraft Service Instruction No. 0221-151 regarding the aileron and aileron tab control rods. These rods connect the pilot's controls to the movable surfaces on the wings that make the plane bank and turn.

Deadline: Complete the work within 100 hours of flight time after 25 November 1969.

Why it matters: Control rods are critical for flight safety. This directive addresses a specific defect to prevent loss of control during flight.
