Plain English Summary

2/10 complexity

This directive requires owners/operators of Beechcraft 55, 58, and 95‑55 Baron aeroplanes (serials listed in Beechcraft Service Instruction No. 1241) to install standardized emergency‑exit placards and modify openable window latches per the manufacturer’s instructions. Compliance is required within 100 flight hours after 31 January 1984 or at the next scheduled maintenance inspection, whichever is later. The changes improve exit visibility and latch reliability to speed evacuation and enhance passenger and crew safety.
