Plain English Summary

1/10 complexity

What this is: A safety directive (called an Airworthiness Directive) issued by the Civil Aviation Safety Authority for specific Beechcraft Bonanza aircraft.

Who it affects: Owners and operators of Beechcraft 35 series aeroplanes that have front seat safety harnesses (restraints) installed according to engineering drawing number CF.1010.

What it requires: You must modify the upper torso restraint (shoulder harness) installation following a plan approved by the Secretary (of the relevant government department). One specific approved modification is detailed in Molyneux Drawing No. MAD 1048.

Why this matters: The original approval for the Civil Flying Services Drawing No. CF 1010 has been withdrawn, meaning those restraint systems are no longer considered safe or compliant. This directive mandates an update to ensure pilot and passenger safety.

Deadline: The modification must be completed within 100 hours of flying time after 31 December 1976.
