Plain English Summary

1/10 complexity

This Airworthiness Directive (AD) is a mandatory safety order requiring specific Beechcraft 200 (Super King Air) aircraft owners to inspect or modify fuselage clips (structural brackets that help hold the aircraft body together).

Who is affected? Owners and operators of:

Beechcraft Model 200 aircraft with serial numbers BB-2, BB-6 to BB-185, BB-187 to BB-202, and BB-204 to BB-267
Beechcraft Model 200T aircraft with serial numbers BT-1 and BT-2

What must be done? Affected aircraft must be modified in accordance with the manufacturer's Service Instruction No. 0946 (a technical manual detailing the exact repair process).

When? Within 100 hours of flight time after 28 February 1978.

Why it matters: This addresses a potential structural weakness. Operating an aircraft without complying with this directive makes it unairworthy and illegal to fly in Australia.
