What this does: This document cancels an earlier aviation safety rule about Boeing 767 aircraft.
Background: The previous rule (AD/B767/59) required maintenance or inspections for spoiler rub strips (protective strips on wing spoilers) on Boeing 767 planes. However, those same requirements are now covered by a different rule (AD/B767/75 Amdt 1), making this one redundant.
What happens now: As of 22 December 2005, this airworthiness directive no longer applies. Airlines and maintenance operators must follow AD/B767/75 Amdt 1 instead for any spoiler rub strip requirements.
