18 Member taken to have resigned in certain circumstances (1) This section applies if ATSIEB is satisfied that an ATSIEB member— (a) no longer lives in the ACT; and (b) has not lived in the ACT during the immediately preceding period of 6 months. (2) ATSIEB may, in writing, declare that it is satisfied as stated in subsection (1). (3) If ATSIEB makes a declaration under subsection (2), the member is taken to have resigned on the date of the declaration. (4) This section does not apply to an ATSIEB member who is absent from the ACT on leave approved under section 20.
