Summary
- These reasons deal with an application by the Commissioner of Police for costs of proceedings heard on 21 and 22 September 2017. My reasons for decision were published on 16 January 2018: Sheehy v Commissioner of Police, NSW Police Force [2018] NSWCATAD 73 (the primary decision). I affirmed the various decisions of the respondent under review.
- The Commissioner submits that there has been a waste of public resources associated with these applications, and that the applicants should pay his costs. The Commissioner seeks a lump sum costs order against each of the applicants, jointly and severally, in the sum of $100,000.
