Administrative Law - Administrative Appeals Tribunal - Application to - Extension of time for making - Whether inexcusable delay by legal representative acceptable explanation to justify extending time - Whether explanation for delay required to be given as a precondition of success in application to extend time. (1) In an application to the AAT seeking an extension of time to bring a substantive application, delay occasioned by the fault of the solicitors for the applicant is a consideration which may relevantly be taken into account in favour of the application, and may constitute an explanation sufficient to warrant the granting of the extension of time.
