Introduction
- This is an application by Mr Toby Clift ("the Applicant") for review of a decision by a delegate of the Commissioner of Police ("the Respondent" or "the Commissioner"). The decision was to revoke the Applicant's licence under the Firearms Act 1996 ("the Act").
Licence history
- In March 2016 the Applicant was granted a Category ABC firearms licence, for the genuine reasons of: 1. recreational hunting/vermin control based on permission of a landowner to shoot on rural land; and 2. primary production for the suppression of pest animals and vegetation.
- The licence was reissued in January 2022, but it was revoked in December 2022.
