"19B. (1) The Commission may, to the extent provided
by sub-section (2), transport passengers or goods for reward
by air or by land, or partly by air and partly by land, between
places in the one State.
(2) The powers of the Commission under sub-section (1)
may be exercised for the purposes of the efficient, competitive
and profitable conduct of the business of the Commission in
respect of its function under paragraph (a) of sub-section (1)
of section 19 or otherwise as incidental to the carrying on of
that business."
"19H. (1) The Commission has power to do all things
necessary or convenient to be done for or in connexion with,
or as incidental to, the performance of its functions and, in
particular, without limiting the generality of the foregoing,
power -
(a) to arrange for, or participate in, the formation of a
company;
(b) to subscribe for or otherwise acquire, and to dispose of,
shares in a company; or
(c) to enter into a partnership or an arrangement for
sharing of profits.
(2) A provision of this Act conferring a power on the
Commission shall not be read so as to limit the powers of the
Commission under any other provision." (at p507)
