194 Escape of interstate detainee (1) An interstate detainee who is being transferred from a State to a detention centre in the Territory must not escape or attempt to escape from custody while in the Territory. (2) A person found guilty of an offence against subsection (1) is liable to detention or imprisonment for 6 months in addition to the period of detention to be served in the Territory. (3) A person found guilty in another jurisdiction of escaping from custody in contravention of subsection (1) must not be prosecuted in the Territory for the same offence.
