4 Notice of referrals—the Act, s 73(2)(b)

(1) The DPP or a court must give written notice to a police officer with command of a police area command or police district of a matter—

(a) involving an offence alleged to have been committed by a child within the police area command or police district, and

(b) that is referred to a conference administrator for a conference under the Act, section 40.

(2) The notice must include the reasons why the referral is being made and state how the reasons relate to the matters set out in the Act, section 40(5).
